- If you are registering for a camp at least 10 days prior to the start of a camp, you must either pay for each camp in full or put a $25 nonrefundable deposit down to secure a space in each camp. If you are registering for a camp that begins in less than 10 days, you must pay for the camp in full at the time of registration.
- All campers must hold a valid YMCA membership to receive the member rate and must remain valid until Sep 1, 2010.
- If your child's enrollment papers, medical health forms and releases are not submitted in their entirety the Tuesday prior to your child's first day of camp, they will not be able to attend camp.
On Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 11am-1pm, join us for a cookout lunch and meet the 2010 Summer Day Camp staff team. This is a great time to have all your questions answered as well as prepare your camper for their first day of camp. We will be accepting any last-minute forms or payments at this time.
Financial assistance is made available on a limited basis for families that are in need. Confidential applications are available at the Member Service Desk during regular business hours or you may contact the Operations Director at 847.410.5321 for more information.
The American Camping Association has accredited the Hastings Lake YMCA Day Camp Programs. Our camps meet or exceed the highest standards in camping services, including: health, safety, personnel, transportation and facilities.
Full-Day Camp Hours
- FREE Morning Extended Care 6:30-9:30am;
- Camp Hours 9:30am-3:30pm
- FREE Evening Extended Care 3:30-6pm
Half-Day Camp Hours
- Morning Half-Day Camp 8:30am-12pm
Late Pick-Up Children picked up after 6pm will be charged $15 for the first 15 minutes after the end of camp. An additional $1 per minute fee will be charged after the first 15 minutes.
On Aug 7, 2010, say farewell to summer with all of your fellow campers. Play your favorite camp games and make your favorite crafts 1 last time. The Alpine Tower and Pool will also be open for use. Food and beverages will be provided. Family members welcome.
All day campers are invited to our special Day Camp-only Swim Lessons! Each session of lessons will run 2 weeks (Mon-Thu) over the course of 2 camp sessions. Lessons will run from 3:30-4:15pm. The day camp counselors will bring swimmers to the lessons and bring them back to extended care until a parent/guardian arrives to sign out their camper at day camp pick-up. Groups will be divided by age, and then ability, to challenge your camper and make sure he/she gets the most out of class.
Day Camp Swim Lessons offer your child 8 lessons for the price of 7! Take advantage of the price deal and convenience, and make sure you have your camper signed up for these lessons.
Registration will close the Friday before each session is scheduled to begin.
Please note: If you choose to sign up for the regularly scheduled group swim lessons, you will have to come to sign your child out of Day Camp and take him/her to lessons on your own. Day Camp Staff will only be responsible for getting campers to the Day Camp Swim Lessons.
